We start with highlights of the Carolinas Heavyweight Championship match from Dorton Arena.  The cheers of the fans at the end of that match fade into the cheers of the studio crowd as we head to the announce podium.

"Hi, wrestling fans and welcome to Carolinas Wrestling!  Bob Caudle here with David Crockett and what a week we've got for you fans.  Ox Baker will be in action this week.  We've got The Heartland, Les Thatcher and Nigel McGuinness, in action, as well.  Plus our big main event, The Freebirds face The Heavenly Bodies.  But before any of that fans, as you just saw, we've got a new Carolinas Heavyweight Champion and let's bring him out here right now!"

"Orange Blossom Special" plays and the studio crowd cheers the arrival of the new Carolinas Heavyweight Champion... Blackjack Mulligan.  Mulligan comes out with the Carolinas belt securely around his waist.  Mulligan tips his black cowboy hat to the fans as Bob Caudle offers his hand and congrats to the champ before Mulligan starts speaking.

"First things first," Mulligan motions to the championship belt, "doesn't this look good, everybody?"  The crowd cheers as Mulligan continues, "Doesn't this look good, Bob?  I'll tell you this much, it doesn't feel good.  It feels great!  I told Tully Blanchard, I told J.J. Dillon, and I told these fine people that I would become the Carolinas Heavyweight Champion and I am a man of word and here's the proof, the Carolinas Title.  Now, let me make another promise, my word to you people.  I will be a fighting champion.  If you want a shot at the Carolinas Heavyweight Title, I ain't hard to find.  Ole Anderson, give me the best, 'cause the Champ is in town!  Now, if you'll pardon me, Bob, I've got some work to do."  As the fans cheer, Mulligan heads to the ring for our opening contest.

The Heartland defeat The Mulkey Brothers when Nigel McGuinness pins Bill Mulkey after the Jawbreaker Lariat in 5:29

As The Heartland signs autographs and celebrate with the fans, we go to the podium where Bob Caudle is standing by with Matchmaker Ole Anderson, the Carolinas Tag Team belts sitting on the podium in front of them.  Caudle makes mention of a big announcement and Ole takes it from there.

"Mr. Caudle, before I make my announcement concerning these belts right here, I want to publicly congratulate Blackjack Mulligan.  We've got a helluva man holding that Carolinas Heavyweight Title and I look forward to him being a fighting champion.  Now, as for these, I think it's high time we crowned ourselves some Tag Team Champions.  So, this week in Charleston, South Carolina, at County Hall, we will hold a double elimination tournament to crown our first Tag Team Champions.  The Heartland, The Heavenly Bodies, The Freebirds, and The Moondogs are all entered.  At this moment, the Commission is recommending other teams for entry, too, and I may consider it, but this is it at the moment.  That may change before bell time.  The one thing that won't change, this time next week, we'll have Carolinas Tag Team Champions."  We got to break as Caudle thanks Ole.

Heavyweight Feature
Ox Baker defeats Keith Steinborn by disqualification in 11:35 when Thunderbolt Patterson attacks Baker

Ox Baker sets Steinborn up for the Heart Punch, but Thunderbolt Patterson hits the ring, drawing the DQ from Referee Sonny Fargo.  Baker bails after a handful of punches from Patterson and heads toward the locker room.  The crowd cheers for Thunderbolt as he checks on Steinborn.  Bob Caudle calls for footage from Raleigh where Baker attacked Patterson after their match and blasted him with the Heart Punch.  When we come back, Patterson is with Caudle at the podium.

"Ox Baker... you tried!  You tried to put me out in Raleigh... laid me low with the Heart Punch... but here I am.  And now Ox Baker, I will haunt you.  That was your last Heart Punch... Ox Baker.  From now on, when you try to put someone out... when you try to hurt a man... take food from his family.  Ox Baker... if you move!  I will be there and will... if... you... move!  Baker, I'm full!"
