CWF Wild West Rampage 2116

Saturday, March 28, 2116
Westland Pavilion
Westland, Centra Prime

Trisis welcomes the rowdy and raucous crowd in the Westland Pavilion and those watching systemwide on pay-per-view as the laser lights dance and smoke blows throughout the arena.  Without further preamble, Trisis welcomes the Commissioner of the CWF and "Holding Out for a Hero" begins to blare.  The crowd roars as Commissioner Lance At-Las makes his way out.

"First things first, look at this house!  Always packed when the CWF is in town!  We bring the rowdiest and roughest action in the land, but last month was a little rowdier than I would like.  Now, I refuse to let the inmates run the asylum, so this leaves me with a couple of options.  I can suspend, fine, or fire people.  But, what does that solve?  Nothing.  Grudges still exist, fights will still happen.  Or, we can provide the two things needed most in this situation... air and opportunity!  Here's the law of the land, you got a problem with somebody and you want to settle it, you bring it to me.  You take the law in your own hands?  You pay the price for it.  This is a sport, a combat sport, but a sport nonetheless.  That ring and these fans will be treated with the respect that deserves."

Singles Match
Zealous versus Kristoff is declared a no contest in 8:29
MATCH RATING:

Kristoff was starting to rally back in a spirited contest against Zealous, dumping Zealous to the floor, when two unknown attackers hit the ring.  They immediately go after Kristoff.  The two men, both Antillian, begin the beatdown as the lights dim and flicker...

"The Awakening has begun.  My army does my bidding.  My kingdom will be restored.  Char, Tek, my loyal servants, continue the cleansing."

Murdock's voice fades as Zealous enters the ring with a chair, seemingly ready to join in... before blasting Char!  Zealous is jumped from behind by Tek and the numbers stack up against the two weakened and recent opponents.  Finally, Hiro and Samuel, Kristoff's partners in The Boys, hit the ring.  Char and Tek slide out as officials and security get between the parties and, strangely, Zealous seems to be checking on Kristoff.

As the scene settles somewhat, the Commissioner comes out with no fanfare.  "Dammit to hell!  This is what I was talking about and we'll have none of it!  Char and Tek, right?  You want to fight?  That's easy to do around here, just ask.  Hiro?  Samuel?  You two wanna piece of Murdock's hired help?"  The Boys and the crowd roar their approval at the prospect.  "Fine!  Sen, come here."  Lance calls over one of the referees helping with the melee, "Char and Tek versus The Boys.  Right now, no DQ!  Clear the ring!"

Lord Nexus, dressed in a stylish suit, is standing by with Trisis in the interview area.  She notes that Nexus asked for this time and that he's been distant lately.  Nexus removes his sunglasses to reveal still bruised features, "Trisis, I still carry the marks Anarchy left on me a month ago.  Anarchy, Prophesy, all of them... enough's enough.  It's time to send a message.  Those of us that respect the heritage of this sport will fight and bleed and pay the price for that respect.  Oracle, you pull the strings for Prophesy, so here's the deal.  It's Anarchy... or me... but one's got to go.  Best of seven... loser leaves the CWF.  You got the guts to put your career at stake?  'Cause I do."

Adam Blast and Star Slayer are standing by with Trisis in their locker room, suspiciously in street clothes, which Trisis notes since they are the number one contender's to the Tag Team Titles tonight.  Blast addresses the question, "Well Trisis, it's pretty simple.  Slayer and I talked it over and after the garbage that went down at Trouble in Paradise, Fraternity deserve a chance to get at the Champs.  So, we went to the Commissioner and asked to step aside for Fraternity.  He agreed, but said we'd get our shot at CentraSlam."

Star Slayer steps in, "Best of luck to Fraternity.  You've got a second shot... and in a Centra Street Fight at that.  But it doesn't matter who it is come CentraSlam.  Bottom line, you're looking at the future CWF Tag Team Champions!"

Magnus Colby is standing by with Trisis outside the Future Shock locker room.  With Mandrill challenging CWF Champion Vengeance in the main event, Trisis asks where Magnus' allegiance will be tonight.  "Trisis, you really are peroxide to the skull aren't you?  There is only one side to be on and that's Future Shock's side.  Mandrill or Vengeance, the CWF Title is the property of Future Shock.  I'll be there, for Future Shock, in a neutral corner.  Now, Trisis, if you are done with your insipid questions, I have a challenger... and a champion... to tend to."

Tag Team Match
Reckoning defeats Slaughterhouse by disqualification when Mayhem attacks Doomsayer with a chain in 7:35
MATCH RATING: ✮ 1/2

Mayhem continues the beating on Doomsayer post while Splatter keeps Revolver, referees, and officials at bay.  Finally, Lance At-Las storms toward the ring with Magnus Colby hot on his heels.  Mayhem and Splatter yell and gesture toward Lance as Lance grabs a mic.  "You're boy, Colby here as deep pockets, but money matters to him and I know it.  It's about the brand, right Colby?  Keeping the Future Shock name out there.  Well, Slaughterhouse, 30 days, you're suspended!"  Colby protests vehemently, yelling at Lance, but the Commissioner is having none of it, "Really, Colby?  60 days!"  The crowd goes nuts and Colby begins to plead as Mayhem and Splatter join him on the floor.  No compassion from Lance, "Get gone or we can shoot for 90 days.  Your choice, boys!"  Mayhem and Splatter go to move on Lance and Colby stops him and calls off the team while officials check on Reckoning.

MATCH RATING:
NEW CHAMPION

Magnus Colby distracts the referee at a key moment, allowing Mandrill to slam Vengeance with the Championship belt from ringside.  Mandrill then rains punches down on the head of the prone and unconscious Aethran until the referee stops the match with Vengeance unable to defend himself.  Mandrill's hand is raised, but he immediately goes back to assaulting Vengeance.  The rest of Future Shock comes down with officials, but Colby stops the team.  Mandrill stops once officials arrive, takes the belt, and heads down to Colby's side.  The crowd is hushed as Vengeance is stretchered out and Future Shock exits with Mandrill victorious.
